Audi consumption display
« on: September 07, 2009, 01:34:11 pm »
Hello.
As far as I know VEMS does not support trip computer that shows info with consumption info etc etc but yesterday I saw a swapable gauge on VemsMT that says "consumption" l/100km. So I was wondering if there is any chance to make this thing work? I know that it will not show 100% correct consumption but I just like to see something happening on that trip computer than just showing "0" :) basicly motronic has only one signal wire to dash-board IIRC.

Motronic will be putting out a square wave signal based on pulsewidth. Dashboard calculates consumption based on road speed and engine rpm.

There isnĀ“t a specific channel for fuel consumption. But you could output a boost signal to that gauge so you could see boost perhaps.

or try to connect one injector, but with resistor and zener diode(becouse flyback voltage is to high for that input).
