I have a Subaru running with the OE trigger on 1.0.78 and would like some of the 1.1.44 (and later) features.

Changing the trigger is something I would really prefer to avoid!

Have you even 7teeth on cam gear, and camsync works?
How about cranking when battery is on the week side?

Camsync works and the OE trigger is completely unmodified, so I think it's still got 7 teeth...  Starting with a weak battery is more difficult than it ought to be but is not an excessive problem.

i´m going to make a impreza this weekend, but i think i will go straight to the36-1 wheel ,that i got made, but i would be great if it works, but tha cranking problem have really put me off,
I thinking if it could have anything to do with you not running the oe ignitor, but dont know if this can make the cranking problems.

i will try to use the 1.1.44 or 1.1.47.

I can't get 1.1.44 to work with the subaru trigger.  I get no sparks, but it does fuel and give a sensible RPM reading much like a "normal" 36-1 system would be if you didn't put anything in the h[1] table.

Sambas is helping me investigate.  Hopefully it will be something silly wrong with my config.

When David and I spoke the other evening he seemed to be coming to the conclusion that it might be an after start fuel related issue.

Rob, that's back on 1.0.78, not 1.1.44.  (Car starts, runs and stalls after a 30 second or so period probably due to the "non clean" cranking and afterstart enrichment being too little)

There is still a problem with 1.1.44 not running at all.

Dnb,

Have you tried some of the newer FW 1.5x to see if that will work with the Subaru trigger?.

I have been over to Uk to get myself a nice Type R V3 STI, and will put on a new ECU, and it´s seems that the cranking problem is better in 1.5x and newer , the subaru trigger have just not been tested yet,

This is the same problems as i had when trying to run the oe trigger setup:

Sorry :)

I just wanted a type R for my self, i could not come to cope with the Nissan, i am just a Subaru man :)
and it´s nice that its a old 97´as i have to pay around 6-9K £ to get plates on it with our stupid tax,
So the older the better, and the 97´ is as old as it gets :)

And i would have been nice saying hello, but the time was a bit stressed as we drove from 40 miles north of manchester, all the way down to Harwich, to take the ferry, and we had 5 hours for that, as we just arrived when the cars was going on the ferry, so not much time to spare :)

And why on earth would you now sell the V5, have you even been driving it?.

Sorry - didn't see this until now.

The original Subaru project has unfortunately been abandoned.
I have converted my own to a 4 tooth crank and 1 tooth cam trigger but haven't installed the engine yet.   And my v5 STi RA is staying with ECUTek!!

I can say that the 1.1.5x seems to be OK in the TVR, but iI didn't have time to set it all up properly, so I returned to 1.1.44 because I needed the car for a classic car show.  (Long story why I didn't have time - something to do with needing to be in 3 places at once)
