Does VEMS can cooperate with Innovate LC1 ?
« on: January 05, 2009, 12:37:59 am »
Hi, I am newbie here and I would like to switch from MSII Extra to VEMS. I have one (maybe stupid) question: because I am already using LC1 kit from Innovate, one output is connected to the AFR gauge, second one goes to the ECU (MS), so I don't want to change this setup, because is working fine for me, therfore is possible to use LC1 output as WBO2 input to the VEMS ?? Thanks a lot for the reply. Pet

Hi,
I think you could possibly do it by using the LC1 to output a NB signal for the VEMs to read. However it kind of negates the point of having a WBO2 in the first place. Personally I'd sell the LC1, get the VEMs with a WB sensor then use either the round data gauge or the LCD display.
One of my customers replaced his LC1 with the VEMS WB gauge and was more than impressed with the results.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Thanks, but I am using LC1 with Megasquirt longer than 1.5 year and cost me over 260$ (with AFR gauge). So it's not ease for me to sell it simply :) Thereby I think, that VEMS WBO output to the MCU's AD is also between 0-5V, so for me is the simpliest way to program LC1 output to the same values like VEMS WBO...

I have used an Autronic wideband to log into a VEMS ecu. What I did was set-up the Autronic output to read 0-5v, 10-15 AFR. Then when looking at the Misc. Voltage in the VEMS Megatune, add a "1" to the left side of the voltage readings. So "0" becomes "10" for 10 AFR, and "5" becomes "15" for 15 AFR.

Hi,
Logging an external WB is easy enough. How are you going to get it to carry out the closed loop corrections?
Cheers,
Gavin :)
