Injector Staging
« on: September 07, 2008, 09:41:04 pm »
I'm kind of a special case on this matter, but i have to figure out whats going on with this. I've been told that during the staging there might be a "little" transition but what's happening right now is unacceptable.  When the stage point hits my car falls flat on its face and my AFR's go crazy for anywhere from 1-3 seconds until my car can shudder its way past the staging area on the map. First off I would just like to have some stuff verified with the programmer (rob or jason maybe you could talk to these persons). I've never really fully understood the "Rate to Calculated PW" and I'll take another look at the explanation but even from what i was told what the right setting was and what i have in there now are completely different. In the beginning i was told to have something around 85 in that category but that didn't work at all so i tried what i calculated before which was 35, it worked, and that's currently where i have it at. So i guess to begin with I'd need to get these numbers verified. I'm running 550cc primaries and 1600cc secondaries and if possible i'd like to get the correct setting for 1600cc primaries and 1600cc secondaries as i will probably be switching to E-85 here soon. I'd appreciate any help at all. Hopefully i can get a video of the said craziness as well.

Thanks,
Brendan

The only way of contacting anyone is via the Wiki.

And that's a fairly piss-poor method of communication with a very limited hit rate :(

What does the AFR do? "Crazy" doesn't give me a clear indication of what you are seeing.

What would you like verified?

He has something that I think was compiled for Jason's RX7.  Its not unobtainable just a bit tricky to get hold of quickly...

Old bump!

I'm switching to 1600cc primaries with my secondaries still being 1600cc secondaries.

First question. I need help on finding out what my rate to calculated PW will be.

Second question. Does the new release of firmware support Staging yet?

It depends on what firmware version you have. IIRC you had 1.0.74 or so, is that still the case?

It's 100 if they are the same size in the newer firmwares. I think that was the case in the 1.0.7x family too, but let me know the exact version and I can check.

I wouldn't recommend the new firmwares though yet. Lots of people have had good luck, but I'm a little careful about what I recommend. I'll be putting one of the 1.1.6x firmwares on my car when time permits to see how it works on a wankel. The car isn't street legal though, so I won't be putting a lot of miles on it.
