V6 Oddfire...
« on: March 08, 2008, 06:57:09 pm »
Hi, I need to know if VEMS will work on a Renault Alpine PRV 90 degree v6 oddfire engine.

Thanks, John.

Personally, I've never seen an odd-fire V6 so I can't say.
So I've asked this question to the team, and the answer is that they believe that its possible, but need to know more about the crank trigger patterns on your engine.

I did answer your email, but I'm guessing that its been eaten by a spam filter.

Thanks Rob,

My email addresses are crispslaw@hotmail.com and law.john356@gmail.com

The engine is a 90 degree v6. At the moment, we have 20 teeth, and a fat tooth and a gap, times 3 positioned 120 degrees apart. I would want to use a new trigger wheel attached to the front pulley 36-1, with all new sensors too. The firing order is 635241 and the firing angles drop out to be 150 / 90.

DTA and Adaptronic can both accomodate the oddfire engine but I wanted to use VEMS after our conversations last year about using it with my aircooled VW's.

Cheers John
