flyback change from V3.2 to V3.8??
« on: May 13, 2016, 11:35:40 pm »
I initially set up my flyback wiring in 2005 or 2006 using the phatbob guide for audi ABZ bosch injectors.  That ECU died and I just put in a new ECU with internal flyback.  My fueling is all strange now so should I remove the old flyback wiring (no components, just wires) or change an injection code parameter?

Can you elaborate on your previous setup? Did you have the 30V flyback diode external to the ECU in the harness? If yes, then remove that diode and connect the injector +12V right to ec36-pin23.

If it was some other setup (The phatbob guide explained internal and external flyback diode if I remember correctly), explain and we can help.

Thanks,
Jason

I had no external diode, just the wire going from 12+ back to pin 23.  The reason I ask is that my fuel is WAY off with the new ECU - like 30% lean.
