Wideband calibration issue
« on: October 06, 2015, 04:12:16 am »
New user here and new to VEMS so please forgive me for simple questions.

I am setting up my Audi coupe Quattro V8 project and am having issues with rich running.

When I went to calibrate the wideband the values are all over the place.

More than likely there's something wrong with the wiring to the sensor. Check continuity, and if you de-pinned a connector to go through the firewall or something, double check the pins are in the right order/cavity number. Also check that pin3 on the wideband connector (middle terminal furthest from the clip) is being supplied 12v.

Heater power and wiring problems are by far the most common reasons for wideband acting odd.

Thanks for the reply!

you're right, the issue turned out to be wiring. I was pulling 12v switched off of a leg of my fuel pump relay and moved it to a better source. the problem went away

thanks again
