How to connect Vems with bluetooth?

So I've heard that people are using bluetooth devices to communicate with Vems but nowhere have I seen a guide how to do that and what would You need for it. Vems shop has this (http://shop.vems.hu/catalog/bluetooth-100m-p-130.html) USB-bluetooth device for sale. But can I use only that for connecting with Vems or is a bluetooth module also required? Should I just plug it to my Rs-232 -> USB converter's computer side plug and it should work? Would someone specify on this subject.

This is a rather old post, just saw it.

The usual application for Bluetooth is to run VemsDisplay on a tablet or phone. For that, the tablet or phone obviously needs bluetooth. You then need a rs232 to bluetooth adapter to hang on the serial port of the ECU. We're working on two adapters in-house. One bluetooth and one wifi. The wifi helps since tablets with only wifi and no bluetooth are significantly less expensive. I haven't gotten an update on that hardware availability lately though. I expect they are waiting for the next batch to head out to the PCB house, which should be before the end of June.

I´ve used a Wifi to serial adapter quite nicely to a VEMS ecu from a laptop. The speed not as fast as it could be though.

I have one on the way to me. It just shipped out yesterday, so I should have it in about 2 weeks. I also just ordered a bunch of the BlueTooth modules to send over to EU for assembly. Looks like it might be a good xmas present.

I've seen an interesting one at http://dx.com/p/rs232-bluetooth-serial-adapter-module-w-mini-usb-port-144177 but to be honest I would prefer to buy and resell the ones from VEMS.

I've tested a prototype and it's working great. I just shipped a bunch of raw parts to manufacturing this week, so they should be out soon.

You'll either have to have 5V supplied to the DB9 pin on the serial port of the ECU (to power the bluetooth module) or use a micro-USB power supply. So you might want to plan on this ahead of time.

Supply aside from the db9 would have been great. Maybe even with 5v voltage regulator so it could be connected to 12v ?

I used a pretty generic serial bluetooth adapter. I use a usb car charger to supply 5 volts.  Havent had time for a proper install, but i plan on gutting the charger and hardwiring it into the car to a switched 12v supply.  Powering off the db9 would be much cleaner though.

Better yet, its 2012, just build bt into vems ecus!

VemsedE36 : Enable bluetooth on your computer, in the software for the bluetooth - find and connect to the bluetooth adapter serial port. Now you have a COM-port to connect to via VemsTune.
