define what "works" is for you.

It's no use complaining if you don't supply any data (at all).

Can't really comment on the latest nightly releases of VemsTune, so don't use them if you have trouble.

Nothing works  is that 1.1.84 Doesnt accept my config
Example my fuelpump is at p259 channel 5 and in 1.1.84 its on injector 3
Tables are wrong all channels are wrong.
I have really big injectors according to 84
65440cc   ;D

I downloaded the non comm model will see if it works tonig ht.

Make sure you have downloaded both 1.1.78 and 1.1.84 and that the status is "installed" in the firmware web tool right pane.

After the firmware upload, when it asks to upload your config, just press ok - a window pops up with a log of the config changes, post that for us.

File parsing sucessful
config table size 12x12
Ecu table size 16x14

found 442 missing scalars
found 34 missing tables

==================

Did a firmware update this morning same problems acure.
I calculated 5.4ms for injector PW i set priming at 5.4 and noticed in vemstune the PW width guage
showed that it opened 2.8ms.
so i changed priming to 10.8 and the guage showed 5.5ms after turning the ignition on.
strange but the engine made some noise  ;D ;D ;D
so i can rule out ignition and triggering and concentrate on fueling.
lucky i found andrey/Cranking in the Wiki
funny how his data is completly diffrent like VE 62 where is written you should start at 100.

The prime pulse only happens when the ECU boots up, the pulsewidth gauge shows the cranking pulsewidth. Nothing strange about that. If you use different injector cranking divider, simultaneous or individual firing, you will change what the gauge reads. Please see the calculation grid gauge for the fuel calc to understand the steps involved (easy to bring up in any gauge group in VemsTune).

I don't know what you mean by "VE 62" and "start at 100". You define what VE the engine has at the cranking rpm, a good baseline here is to use what the engine needs in the VE table at 100 kPa and lowest possible idle rpm.  The cranking enrichment table is coolant temperature based, a warm engine normally needs no enrichment which is the 100% baseline.

If the engine ran with 1.1.78 and doesn't run with 1.1.84, look over the secondary trigger settings. There are new settings that determine what an acceptable position is for the secondary trigger, and what action the system takes if it detects an error. Please set max/min to the lowest/highest value and the action to "default" to get the previous behaviour (= do nothing in case of error).
It should be pretty obvious if you have trigger errors, lights are flashing and visible in a datalog as well.

Thx the engine didnt run yet so i dont know the ve values.
I thought the pw guage shows the injector pulse with send by the ECU
It shows a reading after turning on the ignition, i assumed it was the prime pulse
and should show the same reading as entered as prime pulse.

Uploaded 1.1.84 and filling it by hand, the tables is much work.
but it works :)

Many documents sugesting filling the VE table with 100 as a start
But andrey uses 64 almost through his whole table.
So i think lowering my values wil give more fuel and i can lower my req_fuel setting.

I have sequential injection and a divider setting of 1.
Cheers andré

I will explain a little,
I couldnt get my engine to start or even a little puf sound telling me it wanted to start.
So searching for clues ignition, fuel electronics all was Oké so why didnt it start?

I calculated the req_fuel at 5.4ms ve table at 100 and ignition around TDC.
Set prime fuel requirements at 5.4 and req_fuel at 5.4.
But nothing, i Noticed when switching on ignition the pw guage gave 2.8ms.
Thats strange i thought its set at 5.4 so should give a higher value,
I set prime at 10.8ms and the guage gave 5.5ms
I set the req_fuel at 10.8 and the engine wanted to start.
If i set the VE table lower it hetzelfde mores fuel what it needs to keep running after starting i think ....
Cheers andré

If the motor seems to require a much higher req fuel in order to fire than you calculated, check your injector opening times. I lot of base configs floating around the web I have seen are based on quite small injector and have an opening time of like 800ms. If so, increase the opening time to 1200-1500ms and turn the req fuel back down.

AndreNL :  Make a thread about your installation under "Projects & Installs"
 -> http://www.vemssupport.com/forum/index.php/board,2.0.html

In you forum signature, put a link to that thread.

It is very confusing to even try to help you, even if I wanted to I don't have time to give quick answers without a proper description of everything in your setup.

I have a memberspage but didnt update it for a long time,
i changed work in 2003 and needed to go to school for 5 years from 2005 and family, children ect consumed so much time i couldnt work on my car or just not enough to make big progress.
After all the work been done to my hobby car welding, painting designing ect
now i'm almost finished, The vems 3.2 is the last part to be installed and configured.
I rent a garage and the bloke who is renting it me wants the space back, so i need the car running insured and MOT ready. Tuning and configering i'll do in the spring when the weather is better and i have more time to puzzle  :D

Nice to see that you made an up to date page on this forum, please post it in your profile preferrably both in the signature that appears with each post you make, and in the website address.
