USing WBO2 & Gauge as OEM replacement.

Hey Guys,

Can someone please correct me.

To get WBO2 & Gauge working as replacement for SR20DET narrow band I need to do the following.

(1) Check free air calibration as per guide.
DONE as of Saturday!

(2) In megatune set WBO2 output to be
vout_conf = 1
This will give me the sigmoid curve shown which should work with the Nissan stock ECU.



(3)After thats done I need to wire the earths in this schematic!


(4) Also I need to configure the output TO the Nissan ECU, FROM the WBO2 controller/gauge.


I am not entirely familiar with Nissan wiring.
Schematics Ive seen only show the signal FROM the O2 back into ECU.
If so, why are we sending out 12v and earthing back?

Can someone explain/draw a diagram showing where to take the WBO2 signal from that goes to the stock Nissan ECU? Im right in saying this is possible to do while keeping the gauge?
We echo the signal TO the ECU from the gauge/controller?

I don't know where you're getting the 12v feed from!?! - the wire goes from pin 1 on the wideband's connector to lambda in on the S14 ecu plug.
You could for test purposes run the wire to the lambda plug where the signal wire is more obvious...  Then you can trace it back to the ecu if you want to neaten up the wiring.

pin 19 & pin 111, both heated oxygen sensor.
Assuming its like toyota theres 12v out TO the O2, and the return FROM the O2.

I take it with the narrow band unplugged we only need to splice the signal wire as it'll be fed from the gauge.

The only dangling wires on the kit are 2 for the K thermocouple and 2 for power/earth.
As I see it I need to open the 15pin plug, solder a wire to pin 1 and run this to the ECU O2 signal wire.

Correct?

The 15pin plug pin 1 to ECU feed is the right thing for sure.

PIN 1: Lambda Signal IN is the signal INTO the ECU FROM the actual WBO2
PIN 9: Lambda Signal Ground I ASSUME is the ground for the shielding of the wire that Im supposed to be using?

its not a shielded wire - just benefits from having the two wires to form a circuit.  As the gauge and the ECU use the same power supply the ground wire is not always needed.

So to get the wbo2 working on damos car as OEM replacement we just need a normal unshielded wire from pin 1 to the ECU input.
Will unshielded wire work ok after the Nistune is installed and the wbo2 is reset to work as a wideband, not a narrowband?

Nistune uses a narrowband lamda feed.

These units connect to your laptop via the serial port (or USB port when using serial-USB adaptor). These units output data to allow NIStune to monitor your Air Fuel Ratios from their sensor, and some produce auxillary inputs for connecting other sensors which can display and log inside NIStune.
