dainiuxsky noted some non-expected behaviours:

*knock system does not work since aprox 1.1.57...58 incluiding 1.1.70 below 7400rpms. Above - works!
*injector fires with two strokes offset comparing to pre 1.1.6x. It is not documented anywhere.
*at cranking dwell sometimes hangs. (I catch it also on stim using 60-2 with no camsync somewhere around 100rpms. Trigger log - perfectly clean)

Gints
  • The whole knock system will be refactored completely at some point soon.
  • I'm didnt see the injector firing strangely, will check that out, maybe has to do with the reference tooth table? with a 0 on top, you have offset compared to older firmware..
  • We catched this dwell problem on low rpm and started working on that on friday, doing more testing at this moment
thanks / Emil

I believe dainiuxsky tried injector firing on Audi 20VT.
At what angle injector group which matches 0 tooth in h2 table should fire in 1.1.70?

Please, if possible, include some improvement injector staging for n/a:

Is the SD Card Logging not working on 1.1.70 fw?

2 weeks ago I was using 1.1.63 fw, now I have 1.1.70 (and also a different SD card and circuit board)

I'm using the same VemsTune (tried 2-5, 3-8, and 4-16 versions ) and trying the same procedures.

The card seems to "Erase" ok, but when I go to "Save" it takes forever, crashes, and sometimes says "not compatible with this firmware"

How do I tell if the card and circuit board is OK, short of converting back to 1.1.63 for a test?

Also, has anyone used the "Launch RPM vs. Road Speed" table?

I tried it today (1.1.70fw, VemsTune 3-8, 4-16) and I can't get it to work in any way.

Looking at the "Disable Launch Curve" box settings:

"Empty" = no rev limit
"TEST" = changes the bottom KM/H table setting to "1", and no rev limit
"Disabled" = changes the bottom KM/H table setting to "0", and no rev limit

I tried all three tests with the Launch Input Active, and Inactive.

Anybody ever have this working?

Is it possible to go from 27 to 70 with same config? I tried it, but no luck so far... it seems that something is adding extra fuel and there is spark retard also.
Tables are the same... but I can not find the tables what are adding the fuel and retarding spark?

maybee launch control?
Check cold ign retard option.
And check warmup enrichment.

Launch control does not work, with 27 it shows active input (0V) but with 70 it does not, invert or not, it´s not working.
Warmup is the same as in 27, also could ignition retard is around 1 degree... but it has some 7 degrees difference.

ranz: better would be to post your .vemscfg or .vemslog instead for 1.1.70. That way it's much easier to open, with just a recent VemsTune.

I won't spend any time on supporting 1.1.27.

I'm looking for a .vemscfg of 1.1.74 (which is the latest firmware).
You should upgrade again, and get a vemslog of the behaviour you're describing and let us help you with that.
