error message from megatune
« on: December 03, 2009, 05:45:27 pm »
Hello,
this is my first try on a vems unit.
It is a V3.6 and I want to trigger with the original trigger form my TOYOTA Celica GT4.
It is a 24+1 VR trigger.
So I took the firmware v1.1.27 and now I have an error message, when I start MegaTune.

"Controller code does not match signature in vemsv3.ini.
(See audit.log for where the above file was found.)

Expected "VEMS v1.0 12x12 kpa=2,1" (found in ini file)
Received "VEMS v1.1 12x12 kpa=2,1" (from controller)

Table corruption may occur, this is usually a very serious problem."

What's my error ???

You are using the wrong Megatune package.

Hello,
thank's for info,
now I took a new package with firmware and megatune software load the firmware to the controller (vems.hex)
and now the error message is

"Controller code does not match signature in vemsv3.ini.
(See audit.log for where the above file was found.)

Expected "VEMS v1.1 12x12 kpa=2,2" (found in ini file)
Received "VEMS v1.1 12x12 kpa=2,1" (from controller)

Table corruption may occur, this is usually a very serious problem."

now I am very confused.

what can I do to fix the problem ???

You started off with MegaTune in the High Boost option (kpa=2,2) and the ECU is set to standard boost (kpa=2,1)
You will be okay using that, table corruption occurs when its 16x14 vs 12x12.

If you are starting from scratch then you might be as well to use VemsTune.

Ok, thank's for info.

The next thing I need is some good information about the trigger settings.
I want to use the two VR  sensors, which are original on the engine.
The reason why, I will go with these sensors is, that the car is a rallye car
and I can't change something on the car which is not homologated.

I want to drive wasted spark.
But I don't get any good information about the trigger settings.

You need to edit the settings.ini file to disable high boost otherwise the RPM bins on the tables will do wierd things.
