VemsTune Firmware version
« on: June 21, 2009, 05:09:15 am »
How do I set up 1.0.79 firmware for use in VemsTune? Firmwares listed in the firmware package downloader omit 1.0.78 and 1.0.79 yet have 1.0.75 and 1.0.76.

I am looking at using the SD logging in the future, and currently run 1.0.79 which I'm led to believe apparently has SD support, and VemsTune compatability, but VemsTune does not have the files to suport it :-\

I have had a look at the firmwares between that which are downloaded with the downloader and that which I have on my PC for use with Megatune. I can see many files, most f which I have no idea what they do, and the two package types are different.

Can I set up 1.0.79 for VemsTune use?

Well I asked today on the IRC and got told that 1.0.80 shouldn't be used, only to use the official releases.

They're working on a new 1.1.5x release that has all of the triggers supported and the bugs ironed out - god knows why they dont have a release procedure like the rest of the world use.

SO are the official releases the ones that are on the megatune page on the wiki?

Cheers

Yes I'd stick with the ones on the MegaTune page.

For your setup I'd only use 1.0.73 to get the engine started, and 1.0.78rc2 for fine tuning.

Sorry for offt. Rob, what is most reasonable place to report about 1.1.5x bugs? I have 3 cars on the road. Generaly I am happy. But lets say shift-cut have huge (0.25s) delay after switch is on....
