been working on an rb25 s13 today!
« on: March 20, 2008, 07:43:01 pm »
and a vems powered one at that!!  ;D ;D ;D

old turbo was way too laggy so carl has bought another (old was a gt3782 with 1.something ar exhaust housing) new one is a precision thing (500 rings a bell?).

sadly but expectedly the downpipe flanges were different so it was down to me to solve that issue lol (youll have to excuse my welding on the reducer, ive been using a gasless welder a lot recently and being a nob forgot to turn the gas on on my gassed mig, its been gone over properly and will also be ground down and sorted out)

sadly work halted due to his lass coming over from manchester but weve got it to the point that the main flange is only 10 degrees out, so a little cut and twist and it should be fine  :D  :D

started by making a reducer from 2.5inch to 3inch

and this is how it looks currently

and the turbo slotted on the manifold  8)  8)  8)  8)  8)  8)  8)  8)

made the final adjustments today and tacked up and it fits :D :D

just gotta grind the welds back at the flange to allow better bolt access, ive already welded up the bit you can see tacked in the picture :)
