Idle Timing correction disabled in 1.1.81-1.1.84?
« on: February 06, 2011, 11:48:45 pm »
Has something been changed in the Idle Timing Correction in FW 1.1.81-1.1.84?

I could not get it to enable yesterday during testing.

Never had any issues with idle timing on those firmwares. Datalog or it didn't happen.

lol I knew that was coming.    Tomorrow.     TPS was 0% (threshold was 1%)   Changed idle speed from 950 to 300 and the timing just sat there and looked at me.

Three cars last days, 1.1.84, works just fine.
If you have everything under control, you\\\'re not fast enough!

I found an issue that is causing strange ignition values, that complicated this situation.

If the idle speed is lower than the lowest ignition table rpm setpoint, the actual ignition advance is reduced, I assume because it is reverting to the Cranking Advance setting (In my case, 6 degrees)

I assumed that the Cranking Advance was ignored after the Cranking threshold RPM (299 in my case)
