12v Hall
« on: February 14, 2011, 07:54:47 am »
How can I use the oe hall sensor if it was with 12v by the original ecu?
Does it work with 5V? Can I supply with VEMS 5V pin?
Does any difference between 5V supply (pin 28) and TPS supply (pin 29)?

What particular sensor? For old bosch ones I always use 5V with success.

And yes - there is difference. TPS supply is just for TPS: inside ecu is IIRC 270Ohm resistor in series. Any additional current in this supply wire will change TPS signal.
So use another 5V.

Bosch 0 273 008 002 , I have not found datasheet for it.
It is in a small turbo Escort Cosworth (EECIV)

Thx the info about 5V
