surging under light throttle and pop back when cold
« on: February 04, 2007, 12:14:11 am »
Hi Guys,
got a niggly problem that not managed to get rid of just yet,

when in traffic if you lightly touch the throttle while crawling it kangaroo's quite violent,
i have richened her up a bit but it didnt really help, am i going the right way?

also when cold (not all the time) if you pull away then stop and go to pull away again you sometimes get a pop back in the filter which indicates being lean when cold yeah?
why does this only happane sometimes??? i have picked the cold fuelling up 5 points across the whole range,

cheers....

Cold accel enrichment values?

I cant comment on the vems as i've had little experience with it, but with the OMEX's, if the idle speed was controlled using closed loop ignition advance/retard control, then light throttle would not be enough to bring it out of the idle strategy and it would kangaroo about as the ecu advanced adn retarded the ignition.
