vems afr/egt gauge question
« on: December 20, 2012, 02:37:09 pm »
Hi all,

I have just installed the above gauge. but the afr reading not working properly. It is displaying letters and numbers.
It s the first time of using this version of afr gauge.
If anyone could shed some light on this it would be much appreciated.

Here is a video.

What you see is an hexadecimal counter. It is shown during sensor heating until it reaches working temperature.

It didnt settle down after a minute or so of running. perhaps once the firmware update has been done it will sort out that issue. thanks for the reply

With the sensor in free air, it should read 19-20 or so after a minute, and the tip should be hot. If that doesn't happen, check the fuse. I've seen the more recent ones have two fuses, one for the sensor and the other for the meter.

I have just tried the afr gauge again. Left the car running for 5mins and gauge is still doing the same
I don't remember seeing any fuses on it. i take it would be the 2pin fuse.

There is at least one fuse, very hard to miss.
