Speed sensor calibration
« on: November 06, 2010, 11:35:18 pm »
Hello,
version 1.1.81

how can you find the hz for the speed sensor calibration @ 100km/h?

mine is off, as even on standstill it still reads 9km/h and also it makes fuel consuption go all over the place

Then it is hardware problem. speed always must read zero at zero speed. At any calibration values.

at the moment it has a 255hz and 16320us minimum period time.

its a brand new ECU!

16320 us minimum period time is pretty obvious it won't work well, that's 16.3 ms or just over 50 Hz.  Lower that substantially, it's just a filter for the signal.

i tried using 28Hz to get the gauge to be identical to 100km/h when the actual speed is 100km/h and that made the speed sensor think im doing 70km/h when stationary

at the same time, using 56hz makes the car be ok for low speeds, but the sensor does not pick up when im having higher speeds.

what is the us proper/usual value? i did change it to almost zero to see the effects, but didnt have much change...
