Rev cut and Vemstune crash

Hi all, has any experienced vemstune crashing when rev pass 6700 rpm?

The rev limiter is set at 8600rpm, but the car misfire @ 67000rpm and will not rev beyond 6700rpm, and the Vemtunes crashes when I rev pass 6700rpm.

This happen when I'm out on the track today. The engine was performing well and was constantly bouncing off the rev limit at 8600rpm all morning (that's how I drive when drifting). however, rev misfiring @ 6700rpm started in the afternoon.

Note: In the past, I had multipleinjector FET failure when it hit the rev limit, and this was resolved when I replace it with VNP5N07 FET.

Shall I send the ECU back to the shop and replace the Mainboard? start fresh? It is just very frustrating that the ECU let me down so many times when I'm on the track.

sounds like you are having ignition issues, check and inspect carefully all plugs, coils and boots/wires.  Replace all if possible.

Misfires due to EMI loss will for sure cause loss of communication between VT and ECU and sometimes also trigger loss.

Good point, I will also check the crank sensor gap and mount.

Thanks! The car is working fine now, I replaced the spark plugs and clean the HT lead connectors.

Hmm, I'm having the same problem again.

It is currently running on waste spark system, I wonder how easy it is to change it to Honda S2000 OEM coil on plug?

Would it be straight forward wiring without any resistor or gate change?

This is the setup I ordered in 2007.
1 x Assembled v3.3 controller (v3.3)
> 1-wire interface no
> ignition driver 4
> Knock and EGT yes
> LCD and PS2 no
> MAP connection offboard(electronic)
> PowerFlyback yes
> primary_trigger VR
> secondary_trigger HALL

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
