Title: Calibration of EGT and WBO2 sensor
Post by: g60luke on August 18, 2009, 08:47:51 PM
Hi,

Just finished fitting the guage and sensors, great product and quality  ;)

Do I need to calibrate the sensors.

If so, how?!  ;D

Cheers
Luke

No calibration of the wideband is needed, I think the EGT is calibrated and may just need a little fine tuning.  I normally use ice and boiling water to check ~0oC and ~100oC

Thanks for the quick response :)

I am mostly concerned with the AFR reading being accurate.  So out of the box its just a case of plug and play for this to be accurate..?

I have installed it and driven the car and the readings seem sensible, but wanted to check before I start to adjust my boost/fuelling!

Cheers

With EGT 1degree accuracy isn't quite so important.  I know that they bought a natty new calibration tool, although deciphering what they do with it is an exercise in itself.  Thats why if its pretty good between 0 and 100 I tend to be happy.
