Hello,
Is it possible to configure Vems to work with Rover toothed wheel 18-1-18-1 ?
What firmware is required for it (1.1.xx ?)
Thank you for advices.

You should be able to get 1.0.7x to work with that pattern, is there a cam sync? Otherwise you're only going to manage batch injection and need a distributor.
There is distributor.
Actually it is theoretical question, becuase the owner destroyed the engine last week ( he achievied over 300hp from 1L of displacement and the engine sleeve has broken).
I'm very curious how to configure primary triger for such pattern.

The early Renaults have a similar pattern, you'll find that if you treat the thing as an 18-1 trigger
Settings->Primary Trigger Settings:
Type Multitooth
Everthing else disabled.
TDC after the trigger start at 60
Number of teeth on wheel 17
Trigger tooth 1
Next trigger 9
Then using a timing light, adjust the settings to suit. I've found that the best bet is to put a mark on the front of the pulley so that you can see right round the engine to see where the TDC mark is even if its halfway round the engine.
Thank you Rob.
When the owner repairs the engine we will connect Vems. I don't like distributors and I suggest him 60-2 wheel and wasted spark ignition.

If you are going to go for a custom trigger go for a 36-1 as 60-2s are more often problematic.
If you have a cam sync from the distributor then you don't need to try any other trigger as the stock will give you what you need to run the coil pack.
Distributors are not too terrible if they're not being used to providing crank timing signals (as you get with Toyotas for example) they're also a simple and cheap way to go to CDI as you only need one coil and a single channel CDI unit.
