Title: Crank IGN advance -> switch off fixed value possible ??
Post by: Mac-B on January 16, 2020, 08:15:03 AM
Hello,

I´m struggeling a bit with this setting.

The IGN map has values around 10° advance at low rpms.
The CLT / TPS map has additional 14° advance @-10°C and 0° @60°C
This results in typical IGN advance of 22°C in idle at temps of 10°C CLT

The standard setting of Crank IGN advance is 12° advance. So I was getting no start issues at low temps.
Now i set the crank IGN advance to 20° and the engine starts nicely again.

Now the question: Wouldn´t it be better to have a dynamic setting of  Crank IGN advance (at least if CLT/TPS IGN advance is configured) ?
Or is there a hidden / undocumented setting of disabling fixed crank IGN advance ? (setting it to 255 or something) ?

Thanks for your answers in advance ;-)
Marcus

If 20° works both hot and cold use that.
