Title: Very basic req_fuel question
Post by: 16Victor on June 18, 2009, 07:11:12 AM
Very simple:

Calculated req_fuel is 13.2.

Engine is set to fire 2x per cycle, sequentially (no cam trigger).

Since it's firing 2x/cycle, does req_fuel need to be halved and thus set to 6.6, or kept at 13.2?

Thx,

Ron

This is a 60-2 triggered engine?
You should set the injectors up to fire only once per cycle, I wrote something about this on 4 cylinder engine here: http://195.159.109.134/vemsuk/forum/index.php/topic,614.msg6648.html#msg6648

Think I might already be there...yes, 60-2 wheel

And just for additional info:

[edit] After further discussions and carefully reading Rob's post linked, I now offer that I understand:
- I am NOT squirting 2x/cycle because...
- the h[0] line (injector sequence and grouping) traverses on a 720* cycle (making original question invalid)
- should be set up so that injectors squirt when the coil fires (assuming wasted spark)
- i should change the sequence of squirts in the h[0] line to correlate the above
- it might squirt on the real spark or the wasted spark and shouldn't matter as the intake valve is closed anyway.

Pls advise is wrong.

Sorry to be so thick here.

Ron

There's no thick questions being asked here, its tricky to explain using words and pictures, if we had a pen and paper and some beer we could get it explained really easily.
