Title: custom sensor curve- VDO sensor for trans oil temp
Post by: nmerrill on July 17, 2019, 06:27:54 PM
I'm trying to input trans oil temp to VEMS using a VDO 323 058 sensor.  I have the calibration curve.
It seems like the "custom sensor curve" ohm/volt values are fixed.
This sensor looks like this:
temp F  Ohms
120   322.8
160   135
180   105.7
200   76
220   57
240   42
260   31
280   23
300   18.6

How do I edit the custom sensor curve values to fit?
Thanks

Am I correct that the analog input calibration wizard only works for liner response sensors?

I've seen references to files that can be uploaded to vemstune - is this where I need to focus?

ohms of the sensor means nothing, it all depends in the input pullup :) if you want properly calibrate sensor, put it in water, put thermometer there raise water temp and adjust readings accordingly..

Ok, I can test the sensor, sure.  How many points are good?
But, the main issue is - can the values in the custom sensor table be altered?

yes, you have to change temp values there :))) and it's in celsius :) not bullshit F :)
