Title: quicky: how to remove pin
Post by: miniminor63 on November 01, 2007, 05:17:32 PM
Hi

I put a pin into the wrong slot in my econoseal 36. How do I get it out again without breaking anything?

Thanks

There is a little barb (part of the black plastic of the Eccon connector) which engages as the metal contact is pushed in and holds the wire in place.

You need to insert a small flat blade screw driver from the from the front of the connector, lift up the barb and then pull the wire out from the back, dead simple :)

White plastic cover wont go in econoseal, it sticks out 2mm, on ec18 it fits without problem.

Any ideas before i pull every ec36 wire out  ::)

you have the wire end pushed in too far in the terminal, try not to go much past the metal crimp area
