Hi
I have a throttle body from a peugeot 1.8L XU engine and i would like to use the idle stepper.
on the connecter to the stepper the wires are name A-B-C-D do these names match vems idle stepper output A-B-C-D ?
Thanks Mads

From this link I see that A-D and B-C but from what I have read on Internet I should be able to measure resistance between connectors to see which are together.

It is fairly straight forward to set these up, as you can change the settings in VEMStune to get the correct polarity on each winding. Last one I did we wired them up ABCD to ABCD and then messed about with the settings until the stepper motor drove the desired direction.
This is how i have connected it.... havent had the time to test.
messurement tells me that A-D together and B-C together
Pin4 (A) idle 1 a coil1
Pin5 (C) idle 3 c coil2
Pin10 (B) idle 4 d coil1
Pin11 (D) idle 2 b coil2
I see now that im missing stepper driver chip and D47-D54
i have a the Chip and its a easy fit, i have some M016LV diodes (i think they where ment for injection outputs). Can i use these diodes ?
I have been looking into schematics and i see that vems 3.2-3.8 dont use D47-D54 it looks like they should work as flyback protection ?
in this link i see that someone say that the D45 can be changed to a simpel wire

I took the chance.... and it works ;D
