Title: Edis-6 coilpack question
Post by: AjRose on October 12, 2007, 12:07:09 AM
Anyone know how the pinouts go? 1,2,3,4 or 4,3,2,1?
I cant seem to find it online This coilpack is from a v6 mustang I think 2002-2004
Thanks for any help

I was hoping that someone would know.

The only way you might hope to find out is to make a table of the resistances up:

Pin 1 to 2 =
Pin 1 to 3 =
Pin 1 to 4 =

Pin 2 to 3 =
Pin 2 to 4 =

Pin 3 to 4 =

And from that you should be able to work out which pin is the common and then work the coils back from there

Have a look here near the bottom of the page, there is a diagram with the 6 cyl coil pack connector on it.

Thanks I have seen that picture before.

I am not sure of the pinouts on this exact coilpack is the problem I may as well take a guess it was only $20usd

I'll probably actually just buy a msd setup  :-\

Did you try measuring the resistances?
Write them down, put them up here and we'll at least have a stab at the pin outs.
