Hi,
I need some advice from You guys.
Alfa Romeo 2.0L 16V l4 Twin Spark engine (fully sequential) - 2 spark plugs(big-central and small-side) for each cylinder ignited by 4 COP.
1COP ignite big Spark Plug from 1st cylinder and big one from 4th cylinder
2COP ignite big sp from 2nd cylinder and big one from 3th cylinder
3COP ignite small sp from 3rd cylinder and small one from 2nd cylinder
4COP ignite small sp from 4th cylinder and small one from 1st cylinder at same time
Real cylinder order - 1-3-4-2 (2 pairs 1&4 and 2&3) each pair suppose to ignite 4 spark plugs every 360 degree of crank revolution (once in combustion stroke and once in exhaust stroke);
0 - 1B4B & 4S1S
180 - 3S2S & 2B3B
now I run "Reference trigger tooth table" 0,90,60,30 (0,30,60,90) but its not good becasuse on 3rd and 4th cylinder combustion stroke is ignited from small side spark plug
0 - 1B & 4B
180 - 3S & 2S
360 - 4S & 1S
540 - 2B & 3B
Now Question!
If I set "Reference trigger tooth table" like 0,30,0,30 will vems fire two COP's at same time like Alfa Romeo engineers wanted to? or I need to do something else?
Vems firmware 1.2.11
Best regards
Paul

I do not see why. I guess that Dual spark concerns the "Dual outputs mode" from the Ignition settings menu.

Hello kivi84,
Phil already hinted in the right direction, dual output mode needs to be configured. If you are using Cam-sync, configure reference tooth table "0 ,90, 60, 30", without camsync configure reftooth table "0, 30, 0, 30".
If you wire the coils as follows:
1b4b) ec36-pin36
4s1s) ec36-pin34
3s2s) ec36-pin10
2b3b) ec36-pin24
and configure ignition outputs dual:
34+36
24+10
34+36
24+10
The coils should fire in the right sequence with the correct pairing as desired; Make sure to verify with timing light if this matches the actual firing order of the engine.
Best regards, Dave
Thx a lot for answers!
I will rewire my COP in econoseal and give it a try.
Best regards
