Title: Trigger signal not stable
Post by: VemsedE36 on February 08, 2012, 12:00:29 AM
Hi, I've just installed VEMS 3.6 on BMW M50nv, I have no stable rpm on cranking, mostly no signal.
I put 10k resistor pull up, I changed the sensor and nothing changed.

Here is a trigger log file

I tried many primary setting also, If some one have the correct setting, please lead me.

I don't use a pull up or anything off of the signal wire. I just wire it straight into the vems and pick 60-2 wheel from the defaults drop down menu in Primary Trigger settings.

I can't download your log for some reason or I would take a look at it.  Do you have your shield and ground connected and grounded to pin 26? are you using a factory harness?

This config will have all the sensor stuff from a factory m50:  http://www.vemssupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,1473.15.html

email me your log and i'll take a look. [email protected]

For some reason BMW is using the black wire as signal and the yellow one as ground, have you connected the wires this way?

Youre correct on m20, yellow is signal on m50

Problem solved long time ago, trigger sensor wasn't fitted well.
