figured id share my little project over here since its running a vems system put together by mr lugnuts himself. car has had one hour or so dyno session so far on top of a bit of street driving. cranked out 648hp and 508tq @ 38psi. car went on the dyno on 28psi and made 446whp, and it was an animal on the street at just that, lol. now with over 600whp....the car kills the 225 falken tires in second gear punches. plans for winter are much larger brakes all around, wider fenders, and wider tires!

WOW. Thats amazing! I don't think i've ever seen a car run that much boost before. Are you using the internal Map sensor or does that not go high enough?
Very nice project, congratulations ...
Alot of effort and cash invested,
Couldnt you get the outside pipes of manifold equal length?
Coupe of horses in there i think ;D
internal map, i believe we run a 4 bar but i cant recall to be honest, mr lugnuts set it all up. the manifold runners were a pain, expecially the outter ones. i tried to get them as close to equal length as i could.
how much timing are you running? i pull about 18 on e85 in my 1.8t.. try to keep it a little conservative
you only run 18 degrees on e85, are talking about timing at peak torque? or up top?
i peak to 22 up top.. if i remember correct. i actually sold it about 4 or 5 months ago.
edit. i used more c16 on my old 1.8t then ethonal.. there is only one station and its almost 30mins away..
i keep hoping one comes closer.. i like your build i am building a 1.8t with a 67mm for my coupe
second edit. is your manifold warped in that picture above.. the header flange looks odd
that flange does seemed warped, but it was just the angle the picture was taken at. seals up to the head perfect.
Mean looking car with loads of power! That's a badass project.
thank you! it took a while and its not 100 percent complete, when are these things ever, but its getting there. hopefully by spring ill be content enough with it that i will just drive it and leave it alone.
Make a YouTube movie i want to see hear it running ;D
search 'zerrb' on youtube, there are a few up already
Is this the standard 2.0 90hp model?
cool 8)

its an o6a block and an AEB head i believe. correct me if im wrong johnnny
I think its a 2.0 NA engine with 1.8 turbo cranck and head
http://www.autoweek.nl/auto/6864/audi-80-20-e-115pk
whos justin?
its an 06a style block with the 'large port' aeb head. bored out to 83.5mm and a 2.0l crank was put in as well.
sorry jon. ;) not the best with names
no worries....
34psi yesterday, 2006 gsxr 1000 piped and filtered.

Thats damn impressive. What are you using for a boost control? Can you adjust easily or are you changing springs around?
you gettin those 044 soon too?
thank you, :) i was happy with it, especially with only 34 psi screaming through there. 38psi is where we made 648whp on the dyno. im sure the hill didnt help my cause much either.
for boost control we have a three port solenoid. and all you do is mess with the duty cycle to control the boost. spring on the wastegate is 17 or 18psi, but the wastegate flow isnt exactly optimal off of the manifold, so theres a bit of creep even on wastegate pressure.
shoot me a pm on vortex about how many 044s you were looking for.
do you have a dyno plot? i have the same turbo curious where it spools
Any chance you have pictures of your boost control solenoid and hose configuration? could you post up a log of your dyno or anyother run you may have?
I'm trying to see what i've done wrong with my project.

the boost control solenoid is just a three port solenoid that i got from kevin black. hose comes out of the compressor housing, to the bottom port of the waste gate (where there is a T fitting) and from the bottom port of the wg to port 1 on the solenoid. top of wastegate to port 2 on the valve, port three on the valve is open to the atmosphere.

the RPM pickup on the dyno was a few 100 rpm off, that fast drop in power up top is actually the rev limiter, lol. but ya, that was just a hour on the dyno, turned the boost up. tuned fuel, actually turned the timing down from where it was on lower boost. and that was that.
this is a t4 .81 hotside, i think i may go to a .96 over the winter, we will see.
brought the car to the track for its first four passes the other day. drove it back on the trailer, had fun.
ran best of 11.1@133, best mph i had was 136.8
street tires i want 10's. with a bit more practice i think i can muster it.

where would you say you hit 20psi..
i just got my 6765 rebuilt to a 6766 which i supposed to spool sooner. so i was curious to compaire

plans for 2012 season are a bit more power, not that its needed but 700 was the goal when the project began...and why ****ing not right?
so, 2012 was a good season, car finally went 10s on street tires. only casualty was my 1-2 shift collar...hopefully....should be back next season in the spring to give it hell with a fresh transmission and 38+psi cranking into the motor!
