Title: interesting lcd
Post by: z0tya on July 12, 2011, 11:10:17 AM
My mate send this picture from his lcd (1.1.27 ps2 vems 3.3). It produced once when he made a heavy acceleration. After reset everything seems normal. Any idea?

It's what you see when you have enabled PS2 and get some interference causing the ECU to react to false keypresses on a keyboard that isn't there. Worth noting is that most people run the "non-PS2" firmware, not only to get wheelspeed input instead, but because nobody uses the keyboard when you have a tuning laptop connected to the serial port.

I used to get all sort of junk appear like that until I used a shielded cable (an old serial cable) with a good shield drain and fitted a choke on the cable. Never had a problem after that.

check your spark plugs, spark cables and ignition coils.
