Hi All.
The tacho is going full scale and then some, when cranking before the car starts, and have done it ever since 1.1.81 firmware.
And i´m afraid that its going to destroy tachos, that i will then have to pay for :-[
Can i do something to stop the output(ec36-4) working before crossing the cranking treshold?
I would ofcourse be best if the software get worked on so it works without problems..... ::)
THanks,
Skassa
looks like mine is now doing them same.....
Sure it was ok when i used V1.1.78
But now using V1.1.88.

Mine has been doing the same thing. Relatively new, but I don't recall what firmware version started it. If this is a "feature" (trying to be cool like new cars) can we disable it? Kind of annoying, and out of place considering none of my other gauges do it (like new cars do).
I am not worried about damage though. My tach has its own pulse counter (or so I have been told) so the fact that it is getting 100% duty for maybe a second doesn't matter anyway.

my tacho on escort cossie kick off the pointer to a dead zone, and not come back:(
I need disable this "feature"
Yes this feature is indeed a scandale...
It is fixed, keep a lookout for the next firmware release - probably 1.1.93.
Thanks!
Will be great!
:)
Is 1.1.93 solved the problem? Has anybody know?
my mk3 gti does this as well
doesnt really bother me.. i doubt it will hurt the tach.
1.1.93 is having some final testing, and will be published soon
we found the problem causing the bad tach behaviour, during the first revolution at very low rpm.
Hello!
Has this bug has been solved? From which version?
I need to wire the tacho one of my customers car.
Thx
