Title: VT version to use on a netbook?
Post by: LHK_audi_S2_Nor on April 03, 2011, 12:21:33 AM
Hi, I'm borrowing an Asus Eee netbook with Windows 7 starter, and it works fine with VT install 2010 01 08 (I'm using Profilic USB to serial). I have tried VT 2010 11 15 and 2011 3 24, they both give back a SQLITE_CANTOPEN[14]:out of memory error. What is this about, is it too little RAM (1GB) on the netbook? I want to run a newer version than 2010 01 08 :)

Make sure that you remove the old installation directory if you install another version of VemsTune at the same location.

Why?

Some database files are created after starting the application, those databases can change content/formatting with more recent versions, which can cause strange problems like this.  If you properly remove the application before installing the new version, no such problems should exist.

Thanks, that's pointing me in the right direction!
Tried deleting the VT folder, still same errorcode. But I also noticed that the previously downloaded firmware versions was present i the new install! Seems like parts of VT is some other place than the VT folder.
Then I tried changing the name of the install folder in the install process, just called it VT20110324 and this time no error code! Connected to ECU and all is good! Need to test some more but I successfully made a 10 min log so it looks good.
Thanks again..
