Title: triggerlogs
Post by: Seight-v8 on November 29, 2010, 07:57:24 PM
hello all,

Been thinking of trying to get proper camsync on my 4.6 rover v8 engine for a while.

I think i need a new camshaft sprocket to do it correctly, as mine has 4 pulses.....and not the required one.

Can someone take a look a my triggerlog and give some advice and if i can use it presently.

Basically i dont know what it means or what i am looking at yet.

Latest triggerlog using vemstune & V.1.1.84 found here.

thanks

I don't know of any scheme that would support your cam sprocket, the cam sprocket teeth are evenly spaced and won't give any clue as to where the cam is in relation to the crank.

You must have only one tooth. It's that simple.

thanks....

i gathered that was the answer....

I am planning a bespoke sprocket that will have just one pluse....somewhere from TDC or just before....

I've got a few options which i can try over the winter.
