Title: setting map load sites
Post by: Seight-v8 on July 24, 2010, 01:07:09 PM
hello all,

So i've done about 300miles on my new v8 4.6 engine, with a very basic map, that worked...but i dont think is correct.

I now want to do some fine tuning.

I dont think my load sites in the ve/ignition & lambda tables are set correct for my engine.

i dont want to spend ages changing all the map load sites, if it doesnt work or makes it worse.

i am unsure about how best to go about it, so from some logs i've come up with the list below

idle map reading 46.5-48.5kpa = target lambda 1.00
cruise reading @ 41-44lkpa (70mph) = target lambda 1.05
overrun map reading @ 12kpa = target lambda 1.05

Hows best to distribute my load sites in the map tables?

cheers

scott

If you aren´t having any resolution issues then you don´t need to change them.
Are you going to be boosting this engine? If not then 14x16 is all you´ll ever need.

You can resample the tables in vemstune if need be, so don't worry if you need to move the load sites.
