Title: Boost gauge what works with VEMS ECU signal?
Post by: ranz on July 14, 2010, 02:02:59 PM
At vemstune, there is output for boost gauge... but what kind of boost gauge works with this kind of signal?
The point of it is that is there alternative for round display only gauge with what I could see boost over 300kPa.

Don't know about an output for a boost gauge - as I understand it you can connect a display-only round gauge via serial port and have it display boost.

It would be good if this would get an adjustable table for more boost gauges or converting BMW fuel usage gauge into a boost gauge

Old topic but a small bit of (hopefully useful) info.

My friend has used the boost gauge output to power the consumption gauge on his turbocharged E36. He used 2nd gauge cluster PCB and used tach circuitry of it and it worked just fine after some tweaking of the variables.
I've used VDO Porsche tachometer with  the boost output and it works just fine.

I'm planning to use the boost output on my 911 2.5 turbo (short-stroke turbo). The 930 tach that I'm planning to use has factory boost gauge so it would be neat and useful at the same time.

Of course, car has to be completed first.

Hi

Im just about to connect my Audi urS4 with AAN and OEM instrumentcluster to VEMS output for making boost gauge work.
It shows some numbers but it aint right.

Someone know how to set it up?

I found this help that -60 is offset and multipler 70 but I cannot enter less offset than zero before vemstune complains.

My sensor in VEMS is a factory fit 400kpa if any difference

Im using S259 ch 5

I have FW 1.2.31
Vemstune is 1.5.47
