Title: VemsTune 2010-05-21 test release
Post by: mattias on June 01, 2010, 03:45:37 PM
You may have noticed an attempt at doing nightly builds, it apparently was only given one shot but 2010-05-21 it is the most recent you can get as of this writing.

Download it:
http://www.vems.hu/download/v3gui/NIGHTLY/VemsTune-Install-2010-05-21-nightly-SFILE.exe

You have to set ECU communication timeout to 40 ms, and delay to 30 ms.

In case you get an error starting the application you need to install zlib1, download it from here:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/libpng/zlib123-dll.zip?download

It's also missing the fonts/arial.ttf file, just copy the fonts directory from an earlier release. I got mine from the 2010-04-28 release.

Leave feedback in this thread if you use it.

Thanks.

looks like a new 'nightly' build is up.

i didn't try too much with it yet. I opened a log file, and it crashed  :'(

I used the 6-3 nightly version and for the first time I was able to upload 1.1.70 FW!!! It didn't give me a bootloader error like with every other VT version (I didn't try the 5-21 nightly version)! I noticed that it doesn't have much if any of the F1 help files, but otherwise worked well setting things up in the various pages.

The main issue I have with it is that it crashes if I try to open tps calibration (not a big deal) and wideband calibration (a big deal, since I'm not sure how to set it... can I use the same calibration procedure as through the terminal program in 1.0.73?)

Also I tried connecting to the ecu with earlier vemstune versions (3-8 and 4-28) to see if I could set the wideband calibration and neither recognized that an ecu was connected...

Calibration dialogs bug was fixed withing 30min after this was released, but I guess they didn't update the installer after that.

It appears not :D Do you have a version that has the calibration dialogue bug fixed or can it be uploaded?

Crashed many times after loading logs, and VE tune, on windows7 with compaq nx7300

It was supposed to be that a new release was compiled during the night from the most recent source code, done daily.
Ignore what it's supposed to mean and appear like, just download the most recent you find.

2010-06-08 released now. So I'll lock this thread.
