Title: high MAT vs VE table
Post by: Wayne on April 15, 2010, 01:35:35 PM
Hello,
now we have the first test under race conditions behind us,
and now i have one question:

The engine runs perfect, when the MAT is about 60 degrees,
but on the special stages, the MAT rises to about 75 degrees and
the engine runs very rich and begans to "struggle".
Is there any value, to correct the VE table to run leaner
on hot MAT ?

firmware 1.0.73 but want to change to 1.1.6x

You should be able to do something about that on 1.1.70

This is fixable in software with 1.1.7x+ but you should ask yourself if the MAT sensor is placed in a good spot. Pictures+description of the engine bay would help as much.

Sorry, i forgot to tell, that its a turbo motor.

The placement of the MAT sensor is the original.
It is a gen 3 3sgte, which is origninal designed
with a MAT sensor in the intake manifold.

When i try a 1.1.7x, which one is stable with no bugs ?

Now i go to firmware 1.1.74
the table which can correct the VE value is
"MAT/TPS Fuel Enrichment" , is this correct ??

In this table the values can be set to "68 to 131",
are these values been in percent, which means that
100 is the original VE table and than i can go leaner or richer ??
