Title: Suitable MAP sensors for VEMS 3.3
Post by: BimmerDread on February 26, 2010, 09:08:54 AM
So, restarted my project after a small hiatus. Check my VEMS unit and saw that it came wired for an external map sensor and none was in the package (I bought it used). Which ones are compatible with VEMS and how do you check and calibrate them for accuracy of the reading?

Looks like I searched in the wrong section. The GM one seems to be the best bet for me.

They do 3bar sensors at the VEMS shop

In fact you can calibrate any MAP sensor with 0-5V linear signal. Most of of OE sensors are linear.
Ford use frequency type. It did not work with VEMS.

For calibrating some reference instrument is necessity. VEMS describe two points from MAP sensor signal line.
