Title: Used VEMSTune for the first time last night... wow
Post by: NOTORIOUS VR on January 27, 2010, 11:54:53 PM
I was very impressed with it!

It was pretty logical, and nicely designed for the most part.  I know it's still work in progress but I liked it so much more then MT.  I used it on a 1.0.73 ECU, so I didn't use any new or special features.

But I thought I'd leave some feedback, and I'm hoping to upgrade a few ECU's to newer 1.1.x FW soon with it.

Has anyone else completely ditched MT yet in favor of VEMSTune?  I obviously still have MT installed, but I'm going to try to use it less and less now.

It's good isn't it? ;)  Having the firmware upgrade integrated is a really good feature for the likes of me.

I don't use MT for VEMS any more other than for extracting really old configs from old ECUs.

How do you renew your firmware?

what settings for connection to ECU with serial port are they good to be used?

i gave it a try today with 19200 baud rate

5ms timeout
3ms ignored realtime error count
5 inter right delay and although it did communicate with the ECU, after opening a couple of tables, all gauges went crazy and the whole thing got stuck.
