Title: ignition coils and crank triger questions
Post by: blown_g on December 16, 2009, 06:12:58 AM
I currently have msd dual tower blocks http://static.summitracing.com/global/images/prod/large/msd-8224.jpg

Which option should I chose to run my 4 cyl, Im thinking option 8?

Also for the crank trigger, what is the correct method to run a VR sensor with a 60-2 or 30-1 wheel or can I design a hall sensor with 3 magnets?  Whats the most accurate way to read crank movement?

thanks

What is option 8?

If you have a 60-2 or a 36-1 setup that a VR sensor hooked into your vems ecu will run it no problem.

Go for a 36-1 trigger wheel, it will be the easiest to use.

OK so im using a 30-1 ring, thinking of mounting it at the back of my dampened pulley via bolts.  Is there chances of smal vibratons will cause rpm problems?

Secondly how do you determing the position of the ring according to tdc and position of the VR SENSOR?

thanks
