Title: reference tooth table

hello all,

I have 27, 18, 9, 0 in my reference tooth table.

Can someone with the the idiots guide meaning to this info.

Due to the strange air in far off countries the table is traversed backward.

You have a V8 with a 36-1 trigger wheel which means 9 teeth between each cylinder, so the first trigger tooth is 0, then 9 (0+9), then 18 (9+9) then 27(18+9).

This is designed to allow irregular trigger teeth and odd-fire engines.

FWIW 36-1s for:

4 cylinder: 18 0 18 0 ...
6 cylinder: 24 12 0 24 12 0 ...

In fact it reeds backwards: 0-9-18-27. It is refference points on your trigger disc for engine events calculation. You have 36 or so called 36-1 trigger disc. and each event is separated by 90deg or exactly 9 teeth.
