When asking for technical help at the very least let us know the version of firmware you are running.

hello all,

So i am very new to Vems, got my ecu and wiring done.

Just starting to understand the whole VEMS thing.

And i got some questions.

1. Why do i need both VEMSTUNE & MEGATUNE....can i not just use one version, as i am getting confused with all the different settings & ways to do things.

2. How do i tell what is the latest firmware, with so many releases around.

3. Why is my firmware 1.1.44 not on the web tool for download?

4. Do i need the latest firmware?

Thats enough for today, been a frustrating day, and nothing but a headache to show for it.

Need some sleep and a good dose of contemplation before i continue.

thanks for any input.

1. You should use megatune as vemstune is not ready, everything you need to do comes with the megatune package of your firmware.

2. Only upgrade firmware when it has been officially release. And you need to use features in that firmware that you don´t have now. Although there is alot of versions around they are not official releases so you are not in the group of people who do testing and bug reporting then stick to releases.

3. I don´t know how the 1.1.44 skipped getting into vemstune,

4. No. You need to run the firmware the suits your needs.

I´d reccomend for you to run the 1.1.44alpha2 or packages posted to this webpage.
