vemtune - configuration

hello all,

So i have made the wiring loom, and turned the key for ignition, but not started my engine yet.

As i wanted to see what configuration was in my ecu, i for the moment i have no idea what it all means, and really want to understand what i can before i offically try and start the engine.

I have managed to get vemstune to show me the settings, but how can i see what the config is when my laptop is not connected to the ecu?.

I have managed to download config.txt & tables.txt from the ecu and saved the .cfg file out.

But when i try and load these back in, all the configuration windows are still blank or not set.

I've tried making a new project and loading global.h, with the tables.txt and config.txt, but still the same.

Am i missing something?

i am running 1.1.44 firmware, and its not in the firmware web tool for download.

This would be something that would be nice to know, I've made this thread sticky so that people can drop any information in here and we can hopefully start to get some sort of FAQ or How To distilled from the information within.
