EGT amplifier issues
« on: July 27, 2020, 05:42:58 pm »
I bought this EGT kit new with the sensors and pre wired it there's an issue with it:

Hi, I've now installed this sensor and getting values on a cold engine (left over night) of over 2v on the 5v output which works out at about 400C which obviously isn't right.  any idea where I should be looking or have I missed something with the wiring? I’ve also checked the 1v output and getting similar results.

Has anyone else had similar issues and if so can they point me in the right direction for what I should be checking?  I've tried emailing Vems a coupkle time but I've had no response

At little update, if anyone can shed some light on this it will be greately appreciated.

I've removed the EGT sensor ans short the 2 pads

This gives me roughly ambient temp (22.1deg C on my 5v calibrated output)

When testing the sensor by itself I get 0.1mv at ambiet temp.  This is with the sensor still in the exhaust manifold but on a stone cold engine left over night.

When I start the car up and let it warm I get a reading of 17.1mv so from what I can tell that should mean the sensor is working

Your best bet is to create a wiki page to get direct support
