settings for bosch 1600cc with resistors
« on: July 08, 2009, 01:10:14 pm »
What are recommended settings for bosh 1600 cc injectors from vems shop?
    * Inj open time @13.2v (us) XXXX
    * Inj effective rampup (us) XXXX
    * injrampup_battfac (us)XXXX
    * battfac (us)XXXX
    * Injpwm DC (%)XX
    * Injpwm peak time (ms)XX

I plan to use them with resistors (also from shop) and 30v TS diode

Try
    * Inj open time @13.2v (us) 950
    * Inj effective rampup (us) 0
    * injrampup_battfac (us)0
    * battfac (us)800...1000
    * Injpwm DC (%)100
    * Injpwm peak time (ms)25.5

its coming from A.E.M. tuning software

Thank you...what do you mean by AEM software? Are this setings from AEM ecu or from Vems?

From AEM adapted to VEMS.
And trash out resistors is good idea in this case.

These injectors do not open very well with power resistors, it must not be used!

I use 0 as the inj open time.

Hello,
have anybody tested theese big 1680cc Injectors?
I have yesterday theese tested on a Audi S2 2,2l.
I use the Power Resistors 50W from the Vems Webshop and the 1680cc Bosch Injectors.
The Idle is smooth.It runs LAmbda 0,7-0,8.And the Speed is jumping from 700-1700 always.When i change the VE Table smaller then stops the Engine.

Has anybody a idea???
Sorry for my bad English ;-)

I use the 1600cc injectors on several cars. Do not use the resistors, they are not needed.
When you remove your resistors, you will have to lower the fuel in your calibration.

Is this with Low impedence injectors?

The Bosch 1600cc injectors are 5 ohm resistance. That is the lowest you can go without needing resistors.

I = V / R
I = 14.4 / 5 = 2.88A

That's assuming that you have 100% duty.
As a rule of thumb you can consider the heat that the FETs need to dissipate as being the % duty of that 2.88A (P= IV ~42W)

Hello,
i have test it without the Power Resistors.
Start and idle is little better.But the engine runs very noncircular
The lambda values are not in the standing over 0.80.
Is there another simple method control to them?
Or are the nozzle simply too big for the engine?

They are too big for your engine, it gets better if you run ethanol fuel since that requires 30-50% longer pulsewidth.
To run on gasoline you require a much larger cylinder volume to have a good idle with these injectors.

Ok thank you.We have buy 1200cc Delphi with 2 Ohm.And we test it.
Thank you
