COP's, LPG a lot of missfires...
« on: June 13, 2009, 04:15:32 am »
I had a lot of missfires. On fuel and wasted spark, I had missfires on idle, but no missfires on driving. So I have installed COP's in wasted spark mode... There are less missfires on fuel (gasoline), but on LPG I have less missfires on idle, but when I press throttle, LPG wouldn't go above 3000rpm...

When I press harder, it would spin the turbine, just as a launch control is on (witch is disabled)... There is so many missfires that LPG wont go over 3000rpm! What is wrong?  ???

Does the timing in the datalogs look right?  If thats jumping all over the place then this would explain things.  I have no idea about LPG so I dont know what sort of timing you want, but generally you should see a smooth timing changes, not spikes.

I didn't try that.

I have try different dwell time. After lowering it to 1ms, LPG would work fine, even go into the boost (like 0.2bar) without missfires. On gasoline, it would work fine on 1ms, but on 0.55bar and about 5000rpm it would start missfireing.

So I have set 1.5ms dwell time on gasoline and it works fine..

Still I have a small amount of missfires on LPG, but it's driveable one..

I have solved the problem, thanks to MWfire! :)

LPG injector opening time was too small (low-Z), so they wouldn't open every time... Now it's working great. It even boosts on LPG to 0.5bar.. :)
