First VEMS install, stuck in safety mode!

I just finished installing all the VEMS hardware into my 1986 3.2 Porsche Carrera, all went well until I reached the point where I went to calibrate the WB sensor, I heard the #4 injector was clicking for a while and then the ECU went into safety mode!, I tried to switch it off/on with no success, how can I get myself out of that???
