I think I'm missing a diode
« on: May 23, 2009, 08:06:03 pm »
Hello,

I'm almost finished with soldering my VEMS box, but I discovered that a transient protection diode is missing. I looked at the schematics and it seams that four pins on the steeper chip, and more, will not get current. Is it suppost to be like that?

Do I need to add a diode and what kind of diode?

Picture belove shows the diode I'm speaking of, in a green square:

There's usually a bloody great diode that goes through the hole that's just below the green square in your picture.  Which you normally have to solder.

Okey what kind of diode do I need? I have some spare 18V and 30V from the Webshop, can I use one of them?
